Introduction to SQL Injection – Saturday 7th September
This Saturday we’re hosting a talk on SQL Injection, aimed at our Cybersecurity teams, but open to anyone who wants to attend. Here’s what SQL Injection is in a nutshell:
SQL injection is an attack technique that exploits a security vulnerability occurring in the database layer of an application. Hackers use injections to obtain unauthorised access to the underlying data, structure, and DBMS. By an SQL injection attacker can embed a malicious code in a poorly-designed application and then passed to the back end database. The malicious data then produces database query results or actions that should never have been executed.
Doors open at 4:00pm and the talk will cover context, manual and automated methods and include a demonstration. We’ll also point you at resources to experiment and learn how this technique works.
Besides this, Code Club will be open for anyone looking to learn how to code, experiment with technology and share what they know. As we’re now based in Eagle Lab in Douglas, we have space to grow, and we’re always looking for new volunteers to lead sessions and teach others to code.
If any of that sounds interesting, come join us at Eagle Lab between 4:00pm and 6:00pm this Saturday
